Proud owner of a Yuan Plus, as they call the Atto3 in this part of the world.
The local dealer told me that the car didn't have an associated app, and wouldn't do more
Since my family was in the Auto Business in Austria, i reached out to some contacts there and they were nice enough to try and register the car with BYD. This was in December...
Unfortunately BYD said that the VIN didn't exist (I'm guessing they mean not allocated to EU models).
In the meantime the way the app works seems to have changed.
I was able to enter my email address into the app and am getting OTPs mailed to me.
However, in order to pair the car to the app, it asks for a QR code to be scanned, which you get from within the Settings menu on the car.
The app mentions a certain option is not visible in said menu, that the car cannot be paired.
I tried scanning the VIN QR code to no avail.
Any ideas on how to get around this?
I have no idea, why BYD would decide to block app access in Colombia. I can't even set the charge level of the car now...
