I went to test drive a BYD Atto 3 at the BYD Experience Centre in Brooklyn, Victoria today.
The test drive went extremely well, and it is definitely a nice car to drive. There were many Atto 3 Extended range n the Brooklyn warehouse. I was told that there is no wait times for the white- and grey-coloured ones.
I was also surprised when the sales rep told me that they had a couple of ex-demo Atto 3s Extended Range for sale at $48,500 (after Vic rebate). These ex-demo Atto 3s were never bought by any one, but were used at showrooms and also for customers to test drive, with a range of ~6800 km. Not sure if it is worth it when a brand new one, with Vic government rebate, is only $2, 500 more. But, if you want an extended range one for nearly the price of a standard range one, then it could be worth considering. The sales rep told me that the ex-demos do come with the same warranty as a brand new one.
